On a vacation with my family in Oregon we stopped at a shop called the Myrtlewood Factory Outlet. It was a woodworkers dream. I found this block for about $14 and made this lamp. I am very proud of how it turned out, it was a really fun project.

Hand Carved Roses
I like to play around with woodcarving and these roses are the best I've been able to do so far. From top to bottom, the top two are silver maple, the next is paduk and the last is painted pine.
This is a silver maple rose that I made to ask a girl to prom my senior year.
Cherry Vase
My oldest brother was able to get some cherry from a tree that was cut down on his in laws side of the family. I made this little vase out of a small piece that he got.
Cabriolet Leg Table
I had some scrap wood and was interested in trying out cabriolet legs, which I had never done before. I think it tuned out really good for a first attempt.
Family Mantle
This is the family project that every one in our family has worked on. My Dad started it and made the back, my oldest brother made the top shelf and crown moulding, my other brother and I did the decorative side pillars, sides and assembly of the whole thing. My dad finished it of with the stain and lacquer.
Bathroom Projects
This is a solid oak bathroom cabinet that I made. It has sea shell handles to match the nautical theme.
My mom saw a picture of a towel rack that was made to look like an oar. So I took one of the old canoeing oars that we had and put a brass pipe in the middle to make this towel rack.
