I have wanted to get a 1911 pistol for a while and I found a deal I just couldn't refuse so I ended up getting this, it's a Kimber Compact Stainless. It came with some black plastic grips that were okay, but I am woodworker and I couldn't have some plastic grips, its a matter of pride. My oldest brother gave me a little bit of a walnut burl he got while on his mission and I made these pistol grips. They make my gun look a lot better
